excellent service , excellent build ,, gave me a 10k lb lift ,wrap around dock up against my seawall ,,all ss bolts and fittings, trex decking (more cost effective then any of the other contractors i had bid the job ) , all this being done in 2016 and im still happy with my dock and lift ,,i recently had two lift wheels ( or properly called sheaves) freeze up (it happens its metel going in salt water ) so i called them and they said they could be out there same day ,,after talking to them they explained the mechanics of the wheels , and me having a mechanical background i was able to fix it myself . i would highly recommend this company . i have posted a couple photos of the dock ,,i added the waterways cover a year after and there is a picture of the sheave that froze up ,,easy fix= a turn with a wrench and some grease

"The guys from Tropical Marine did a great job. Tore down my 30 year old dock and installed a great new dock. Dealing with Debbie in the office was great. Zach, Matt, and little Josh were great. There was no loud music blaring the whole time. The workers were courteous and asked what else needed to be done. They were very careful about my landscaping and my lawn. To my surprise they cleaned up all the debris every night. Kept as much of the lumber and material off the lawn so the lawn people could cut the grass and I had no dead spots in lawn. They did a GREAT job. Could not be happier."

The crew tore out and replaced a dilapidated dock, in addition to covering our cantilever dock. Matt, Bill, & Dillon did a great job aligning the new section with our existing dock. "We are so pleased with our experiences with Tropical Marine Construction on the design and realization of our new canal dock and tiki living space. John and Debbie were great to work with from the start. Debbie designed our dock and tiki before we even had a home purchased. John came to a few of the listed homes we were considering, to assess the feasibility and any concerns, giving us confidence in our decisions. Our new home, by chance, was familiar to John, as the existing 20+ year old dock and lift were installed by him, years ago. Debbie worked with us on each detail, finding the exact materials we wanted, even through the shortages the pandemic has spawned. The removal of the old dock and lift was handled professionally and neatly, and the Barge Crew (Zach, Josh, Matt and Bill) worked to carefully and confidently install the pilings for our new dock and lifts. John was on site (and in the water) for some of the fun. The framing crew (Dustin, Kyle, Dalton, Justin and Jared) completed the dock framing and decking showing great skill and attention to detail in each step of the process. It was obvious that they were quality focused, and took time to answer any questions that we had. They cleaned up debris daily and were professional throughout. They installed the lifts with great care and made sure they were ready for electrical contractor. We also had Tropical repair several seawall seams that were showing a bit of depression, an added benefit with Tropical Marines full service capabilities. Debbie has been wonderful in staying in touch, either by phone or on site during the construction and is truly focused on making certain we are thrilled with the process and the final dock. We recommend Tropical Marine for any construction or repair needs others might have."

"We had Tropical build our deck/dock. They were fabulous, on time, on budget and kept us informed every step of the way! Our dock/lift is almost identical to our neighbors, but we have a few upgrades, ex. remote control for the lift, and we still paid thousands less! Nevermind that theirs also flunked the Electrical inspection, and our Tropical Lift passed with flying colors! My husband is a long time General Contractor, and he was very impressed with the quality of work. Debbie was always easy to get in touch with when I had questions, and never made me feel like I was bothering her. I would happily recommend Tropical Marine to anyone looking for quality work!"

"We recently had Tropical Marine install our dock and boat lift, and we couldn’t be happier with them. From beginning to end, we were impressed. Initially we had a design that we thought we wanted, but after reviewing it with them, we realized that they had a design that worked much better for us.
They were great at notifying us of what was going on through each step, were very knowledgeable, and made sure we had what we wanted. Our neighbors watched as they installed the decking and said that they were careful to make sure it was right and their workers were very considerate. A couple months after it was done we had a minor issue, and they went above and beyond to fix it, doing more than what we would have expected. We are glad that we chose them for our dock and would gladly do it again."

"We were very pleased with Tropical Marine from start to finish. My husband called and the owner met him out on the property to go over what my husband wanted for a pier. The secretary did a follow up with drawings, specifications, and other things that were considered. Within a few weeks they installed the pier that my husband had wanted and they did it exactly and with quick professionalism. The men on the job knew what they were doing and kept the area looking clean during the process. We were kept up to speed throughout the construction. The finished pier and lift look great!"

"Tropical Marine Construction is a great company! From the time we set up our first estimate until the last nail was hammered in they were always available to answer questions! They have a great eye for detail and they're product is top of the line. The boat lift they installed is all aluminum with aluminum bunks so you don't have to worry about the ripping and tearing of carpet bunks. They came the exact day they said they would to start and finished on time as well. I would highly recommend tropical marine construction for all your dock and lift needs!"

"We selected Tropical Marine Construction after entertaining four different contractor quotes for our dock renovation project. John and Debbie were very responsive throughout the project and provided good ideas and options for the final design. The construction crew was seasoned and knew how to resolve issues that surfaced during the project execution. The quality of the work was excellent and tropical coordinated with the electrical contractor to complete the job on time. The pricing was good and they were reasonable when we added work to update the dock fenders and other features. "So far so good had done my due diligence on all the dock installers and tropical offered more dock for the money. I am very pleased so far with the response and price point and quality of the materials I have chosen, I am having them install a 30 foot wrap around dock with a 10k # lift using all stainless steel hardware and composite plastic decking. I have chosen and paid for the highest quality materials , so now its up to the installers to bring it home for a perfect installation.
I have had the dock now for 7 months and its perfect I would highly recommend them, Debbie at the office is great to deal with and is always pleasant to talk to. They are there to handle your needs, everything turned out perfect and i love my new dock. I had had several proposals and they were very competitive and gave the most bang for the buck."

Member Comments: I submitted a request for quote to five dock builders in the Cape
Coral area. Three responded. Tropical Marine was significantly
less expensive than the other two (well known) builders. I was a bit
apprehensive, but based on positive reviews, selected them for the
project which was to add a wraparound
extension to my existing
dock and boat lift.
Tropical was easy to work with and were very responsive during the
planning process, cheerfully accommodating all my design change
requests until the plan was exactly what I wanted. The time window
for the project was constrained to just a couple of weeks as I'm a
snowbird and the work had to be done during one of my trips to the
area. Tropical showed up on time and the work was completed in a
timely and professional manner. There's no difference between
Tropical's work and the existing dock, which was built by one of the
better known builder. I wish I had known of Tropical when I had the
original work done."

2013 I contacted them again to move the lift forward 6 feet (simply a
personal preference) and again performed all work satisfactory =
